Mark Digital Print Solutions: Environmental policy statement

Mark Digital Print Solutions is committed to managing our business activities with a view to reducing harmful effects on the environment. We know that our industry has an impact on the environment and as such we have identified and actioned ways to minimise our footprint as much as possible.

We are achieving a smaller environmental footprint by the following actions:

  • Recycling all paper cut offs, test prints, wrapping, boxes and the like using a commercial recycling service.
  • Recycling all appropriate plastic packaging using Council based recycling service.
  • Conducting print operations in compliance with modern practises and equipment.
  • Using recycled and environmentally friendly packaging products where possible.

Paper purchasing – We only source paper that is either recycled or produced from sustainable growth forests such as tree farming or responsibly managed forest. The regulating authority on this is the Forrest Stewardship Council or FSC. All our paper is exclusively purchased through FSC certified Paper Merchants.

Digital printing – Our modern and efficient Digital Presses utilise toner or ink. Both processes have no disposal of traditional printing plates. All toner or ink cartridges and associated packaging are returned to our suppliers to be recycled or refurbished.

It is by far the most efficient and the cleanest process of producing commercial print to date.

Offset printing – When the volume requirements are larger than what is viable on a Digital Press, we offer Offset Printing using Vegetable-based inks such as Soy-based ink. No Petroleum-based ink is used in any scenario. With press cleaning no chemical wash-ups or the like end up down the drain.

Mark Digital Print Solutions understands that minimising our environmental footprint through better business practices is something our clients have come to expect as well as the broader community. It is therefore our aim to continue the aforementioned practices as well as seeking new ways to further improve sustainability in the future.
